The legend “Hayk and Bel”
Is based on the story of the rebellion of Armenian tribes against the Babylonian yoke, which was passed to us by the historian Moses of Chorene and which has become the symbol of national genealogy.
The eponymous patriarch Hayk, the founding father of Armenian people and Armenia, revolted against the tyranny of Bel, the giant king of Babylon. Hayk left Babylon with his people, moved to the land of Ararat and founded his new home called Haykashen and settled there down. Bel sends an envoy to give Hayk a message saying that he had left in vain but Hayk gave a severe response to that man and sent him back to Babylon. Bel got frustrated with
Hayk answered and marched against him with a massive force.
The opponents met at a site near Vana Lake which was later called Hayots Gorge (Armenian Canyon). Hayk enters into a battle with Bel. Hayk who was a skilful archer kills Bel with his three-fletched arrow in a single shot.
Hayk permanently settles down in Hayq.
The Armenian nation took its name from Hayk, and the country was called Hayq (Hayastan/Armenia) taking its name from the name of the nation.
PROLOGUE
History of the Armenian people originates from the depths of centuries․
When the elderly were mythical sages, the boys were fiery and brave fellows, and the girls were sea-born angels.
It was the time when the lands transformed into gardens of life, and the fruit turned into sweet wine. The Armenians came a long way, which was full of victories and struggles against enemies who often tried to deprive these people and erase this nation.
However, there was an immense power that no enemy could diminish. It is the power which is called ARMENIAN… I am Armenian…

SCENE 1
In ancient times when mankind was at the origins of civilization, the lord of Babylon, the Fire God, ruled over all the giants and nations. His name was Bel. His mission was to burn and destroy all of them who would dare to rebel and would not worship and kneel before fire.

SCENE 2
But there was a man who did not obey Bel and moved to the land of Ararat with his people. His name was Hayk…

SCENE 3
Titan Bel offers Hayk to pledge allegiance to him and strike peace. But he was turned down by the proud and brave Hayk and the king of darkness decided to invade the land of Ararat with his army, destroy the country and ruin the flourishing gardens. He wanted Darkness to rule over the Light and to deprive a man of an independent soul.

SCENE 4
In the thick of the battle when the darkness was fighting against the sons of Light to put the Light on its knees, Bel was watching the battle from his hiding place. But the brave Hayk found him and looked straight into the eyes of his enemy, by predetermining the fate of his future descendants.

SCENE 5
Bel was defeated because he and his vicious progeny did not understand that it was possible to kill the body, destroy the country and devastate the flourishing gardens, even the soul could be conquered, but the SPIRIT would never be deprived. It was impossible to defeat the one who had in his hand the bow and the bowstring was stretched by God.
